琉球ザッカ青空は、沖縄焼物＜やちむん＞、琉球ガラス、紅型はじめ、沖縄、宮古島の雑貨類を集めたセレクトショップです。工房を訪ね、オーナー自らがセレクトしたやちむんや琉球ガラスは、沖縄県内各地から厳選された自慢のラインナップ。
のんびり、ゆったりとした島ならではの時間の流れ。それでいて沖縄の自然は時に厳しく、人たちの生命力は力強い。照りつける光と熱気の中で、やちむんや琉球ガラスは一つ一つ作家さんの手作業によって作られています。伝統的な製法の継承とともに、新しい試みの作品が日々試行錯誤の中から生まれ、たくさんの魅力あふれる器が生み出されています。
「お土産品」としてではなく、日常の食卓の中で普段使いしてもらいたい。そして毎日のお料理が楽しくなったり、午後のコーヒータイムが癒しの時間になるような、器を手に取るたびに感じる、そんなちょっとしたワクワクやドキドキが、日々のさりげない喜びになりますように。そんな思いでセレクトしています。
Ryukyu Zakka Aosora is a specialty store that collects Okinawan pottery ‘Yachimun’, Ryukyu glass, ‘Bingata’, Okinawa and Miyakojima miscellaneous goods.
Our shop has a proud lineup carefully selected from all over Okinawa prefecture by the owner himself visiting the workshop.
‘Yachimun’ and Ryukyu glass work by craftsman’s hand one at a time.
Along with the succession of traditional manufacturing methods, new works are born from trial and error every day, and many attractive vessels are created.

沖縄全島からセレクトされたやちむん
琉球ザッカ青空のやちむんは、沖縄県内全土のやちむん工房、作家さんの元に足を運び、オーナー自らセレクトしています。伝統窯から小さな個人工房までその数30窯以上。注文してから納品されるまで半年から一年待つことも多々あります。注文の品を、作家さん、工房の皆様が一つ一つ心を込めて作って下さっているその作品が納品されるたび、私たちは毎回大きな喜びと感謝でいっぱいになります。手作りのぬくもり、一つ一つの微妙な表情の違いなど、やちむんの魅力は語りつくせません。その作品が、お客様のご自宅まで無事にお持ち帰りいただけるように丁寧に梱包いたします。
The owner selects from more than 30 kilns all over Okinawa prefecture by himself. Every time the works are delivered, we are filled with great joy and gratitude. I can't tell you enough the charm of ‘Yachimun’, such as the warmth of handmade products and the subtle differences in expressions that each work has.We will carefully pack it so that you can safely take it home.

大量生産ではない、
手作りの琉球ガラス
琉球ザッカ青空の琉球ガラスは、海外の工場で作られている大量生産のガラスではなく、作家さんが注文してから一つ一つ手作業で作り上げる吹きガラスのみを取り扱っています。琉球ガラスの工房へお邪魔すると、その過酷な作業現場にいつも圧倒されます。ただでさえ暑く湿度の高い沖縄で、熱いガラス炉を前に大量の汗をかきながら作って下さっている姿は、感動すら覚えます。そうして出来上がった作品を店頭に並べさせていただける喜びを、お客様にも感じていただけるようなお店作りを目指しています。
We only handle blown glass that is hand-made by artists in Okinawa. When we visit a Ryukyu glass studio, we are always overwhelmed by the harsh worksite. We are also impressed by the appearance of making works in front of a hot glass furnace while sweating a lot in the hot and humid Okinawa.

かわいい楽しい沖縄雑貨
手染めの紅型コースター、やちむんのハンドメイドアクセサリーやキャンドルなど、自慢のセレクトを取り揃えております。また、宮古島の昔ながらの方法で作られたお塩、自社養蜂園「青空養蜂園」の生蜂蜜「宮古蜜」、宮古島のお茶など製法にこだわった食品類も豊富。
We have a selection of hand-dyed 'Bingata' coasters, handmade 'Yachimun' accessories and candles.
We also have abundant foods that are particular about the manufacturing method, such as salt made by the traditional method of Miyakojima, raw honey "Miyako honey" of our own beekeeping garden 'Aosora Bee Garden", and tea of Miyakojima.

形を変えつつも受け継がれる伝統を
今とこれからに
「焼き物」という言葉を沖縄風に発音したのが「やちむん」です。「焼き＝やち」「もの＝むん」という意味。琉球王国時代から現代に形を変えつつも受け継がれる伝統技術。琉球ザッカ青空では、伝統的な技法に則って作られる作品と、現代風にアレンジされた作品とがバランスよくセレクトされています。どちらにもそれぞれの個性や良さがあり、それらを比べるのも楽しみのひとつ。
‘Yachimun’ is the Okinawan pronunciation of the word "pottery". A traditional technique that has been passed down from the Ryukyu Kingdom era to the present day.
We have a well-balanced selection of works made according to traditional techniques and works arranged in a contemporary style.
